Arctic Life

There are thousands of creatures under the Arctic ice, which many will never see. Employees of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of Canada (NOAA) in one of his expeditions to study changes in Earth's climate have pictures of some of the unique creatures living in extreme Arctic conditions.

Crossota-luminous deep-sea jellyfish, living as plankton in the water.

  Beautiful pictures of Winter Carnival,

In Kenya, a lion cub fell down a steep cliff, but fortunately his mother was there to save him. And fortunately for us, a photographer captured the whole touching scene on camera.

Now that I read about this more, I’m not sure if looks like a futuristic library or a library museum. One thing is for sure though, with all the creative ways artists are interpreting books lately, it seems they are no longer primarily used for reading anymore. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean they are old. Instead, they are being re-purposed into either new creations, or in this case, a new inspiration for an incredible art installation.

Japanese Takeshi Hosaka Architects studio has been a restaurant near Mount Fuji. This needle-like building called Hoto Fudo, which allows air to circulate through the street big holes in the walls (except for the cold season, when using curved acrylic sliding doors).

Origami (from ori meaning "folding", and kami meaning "paper"; kami changes to gami due to rendaku) is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding, which started in the 17th century AD at the latest and was popularized outside Japan in the mid-1900s. It has since then evolved into a modern art form. The goal of this art is to transform a flat sheet of material into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques, and as such the use of cuts or glue are not considered to be origami.
